Whilst the Yard Owner Hub contains lots of Documentation and Resources for Yard Owners, it can be hard to work out exactly what you need or to get answers for your exact situation.
From December 2020 we are thrilled to announce we will be launching the ‘Yard Owner Online Learning’ information sessions. These will be hosted online seminars covering a range of important topics. The aim of the sessions will be to inform and educate yard owners as to how best to manage their yards.
These sessions will be held in group sessions via Zoom. Each session will be around one hour with opportunities to discuss and ask questions with additional support and resources available for those who may need it. Numbers will be limited to ensure all sessions are beneficial and productive. Those sessions with high demand will be repeated. A minimum of 15 attendees is required to run a session.
To help cover the cost of hosting the sessions and providing the resources, we are asking for a minimum contribution of £5 per session. However, these sessions will be free if you are a LiveryList Standard or Featured Listing Owner or an ABRS+ Approved or Certified Riding School or Livery Yard Owner. Details on purchasing tickets are available further down the page.
Unless stated otherwise, all sessions will be held by Cheryl Johns. Cheryl created LiveryList in 2011 and has since developed it into the UK’s largest resource for yard owners. She is an experienced yard owner and manager and holds numerous qualifications in yard management, business management and marketing, focusing on business development consultancy in recent years and specifically within the equestrian industry. Cheryl is also the Director of PR and Marketing a and non-executive board member for the ABRS+ focusing on business development and marketing. She also works on a consultancy basis alongside equestrian associations and brands such as Redwings, KBHH (Keeping Britain’s Horses Healthy), Westgate Labs and others to develop their campaigns and services. She also writes as a guest contributor for Horsemart on the topic of yard ownership and management. Since 2016 she has run a successful and popular support, advice and networking group for yard owners currently with over 1800 verified yard owners across the UK and Ireland. There will also be guest hosts for some sessions where they can provide specialist information on a particular topic.
Taking a summer break so on and all can enjoy the sunshine and reopening of the country!
The Yard Owner Sessions will resume in the Autumn with repeats of our most popular sessions, and some new ones too!
