Bridge Farm Livery Yard is situated just outside the village of Wickham Market, with easy access, just a couple of minutes off the A12.
The yard is on a working farm site and you can ride around any of the fields available, as well as being close to some lovely quiet back roads. The stables are all 12ft x 12ft internal partitioned type. They are in a large covered building, with plenty of natural aeration and heaps of space inside to tend to your horse on a wet day. Both inside the yard and outside is entirely concrete floor. Inside we have a tea room, lockable tack room, CCTV, hot/cold wash, separate feed bays and plenty of lighting, with security lights at night. Outside we have a large muck heap pad that is easy to take you muck to, all on concrete. Your hay and straw is produced on the farm and is available to you if required.
There is a 40m x 20m outdoor Arena, with floodlights and we have just installed a set of 5 training mirrors, 2 vertical in either corner and 3 horizontal across the middle. We have a set of showjumps and some X country jumps.
The grazing layout is across four 6 acre fields, and we aim to graze Mares and Geldings separately. All fencing is electrified and have automated water drinkers in each field.
We have our own worming program which is based around strategic worming, not blanket worming. This consists of 2 Tapeworm treatments per year, plus wormers as and when required subject to egg worm count results.
We chain harrow the meadows once a month to spread the horse muck out so that the heat of the sun can kill off any parasites and we find this is so far affective.
Livery is currently £130/month, payable only by standing order/direct debit, paid monthly in advance.
This is a family friendly yard, we do not have a manager as diy livery does not justify it, but the owner is always on site and is in control of the overall running of the yard.
