Sarah Fell yard manager of Downside Livery Stables has over 20 years experience of managing a successful livery yard. Downside Livery Stables based at Woodlands Farm (in Surrey) is a well-established yard close to the A3 and junction 9/10 M25. The liveries range from happy hackers to affiliated BE, BD and County Showing riders. Some of the liveries have been based with Sarah for over 10 years. The yard has a fantastic atmosphere and is a sociable yard. At Downside the friendly caring staff and liveries offer sympathetic help and support, especially to nervous or inexperienced owners. Liveries regularly go out competing together, supporting each other in their chosen disciplines.
Liveries have access to a range of qualified instructors who teach on site. Access to fantastic hacking on Esher Commons, Oxshott Woods and Bookham Common via short road work.
Sarah offers preparation for shows and has a vast background in showing and endurance. Many of the liveries are members of Bookham Riding Club, whose field is a 20 minute hack away from the farm.
The horses at Downside Livery Stables seem to become calm within hours of arriving and graze in small same sex herds. Happy horses = Happy owners and at Downside Livery Stables each horse is treated as if it is Sarah’s own horse.
“A fantastic yard that is professional and has vast experience in tailoring livery to suit each horse and owner”. Jade Douthwaite, Part Livery at Downside for over 10 years.
