Higher Farm is a brand new purpose-built equestrian centre set in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside. The family-run business specialises in catering for each individual horses needs.
At Higher Farm Livery, your horse is our horse. We know what it is like to feel the pains of a work/life/horse balance; therefore aim to create a safe, secure and easy-going environment for both you and your horse to thrive in.
Every horse is different and this will be reflected in their care. There are a variety of packages available and we are here to help you decide on the best environment for you and your horse. The packages vary from grass and track livery to rehabilitation and full livery with everything in between. Our qualified staff will take the best care of your horse, as if they were their own. We understand how important it is that everything is completed on an individual basis and our individual care is what makes us so unique!
As well as physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing is of paramount importance to us; therefore we offer all year turn out over our 123 acres of land.
Higher Farm has a number of beautiful, brand new facilities available onsite and plenty more in the pipeline for 2021. Including, hot wash facilities, solarium, horse walker, hard standing for lorries and trailers, multiple arenas, off-road hacking and in our rehabilitation unit, access to a combi-floor and water treadmill (at discounted rates for our liveries).
There are multiple ways to exercise your horse at Higher Farm; whether that’s in our large outdoor or indoor arena, an off-road stroll down to the river, or loose schooling in our jumping lane; you and your horse will not get bored! We are incredibly lucky to have a link to Somerford Park and therefore offer regular transport to the centre for our liveries. We also host regular camps and training sessions with off-site instructors to allow you to keep up-to-date with the latest training methods.
The centre specialises in Ecotherapy; which is a form of therapeutic treatment involving horses outdoors. Ecotherapy has been scientifically proven to help reduce stress levels, resulting in a lowering blood pressure; alongside many other benefits. This style of therapy is highly recommended by the national charity, Mind.
The centre is perfectly located close to the of towns Middlewich, Northwich, Nantwich, Congleton and Holmes Chapel; making accessibility effortless. We are also perfectly only 5 minutes of Junction 18 M6.
If you get peckish we have Cobbies Cafe on site which serves a delicious variety of food and drink, to keep you on the go all day.
Separate to the livery space we have a riding school, catering for adults and children of all abilities from total beginner to more advanced riders in group or private lessons. The RDA also operates from the yard.
