Yard Details

Competitively priced Full livery spaces available at Thorington Farm, Layer Marney, Essex.

Our facilities include newly refurbished large stables with year-round, individual turnout in well-fenced paddocks.

We have a 60×20 floodlit outdoor arena. We also have a grass arena with show jumps and dressage boards available. Selection of XC schooling fences available too. The area also offers excellent hacking.

Full livery includes hard feed, tack cleaning, rug washing, feet pick and over see all appointments. Tea and coffee making facilities as well as a hot horse shower available to use

Our full livery package is only £530 per month Full livery
Also offer grass/retirement livery where we care for the horse 365 days a year. Individual turn out available or in small herd.

Additional services are also available for all liveries such as attending vet/ farrier appointments, show preparation, grooming, clipping.

There is a secure tack room and storage areas.

The owners live on-site and the premises are covered by CCTV. Trailer and horsebox parking available.

A lovely friendly yard with caring and attentive staff that treat each horse as if they were their own. This is the first yard that has supplied year round grazing which has been such a benefit to my horse . He is happy, content and very relaxed - happy horse, happy owner.

My horse has been here since November on grass livery. Having owned him for 17 years, I know he is happy and content under Lorna and the team’s care. I never worry as I know he is checked regularly and Lorna messages me if there is ever a problem. He is regularly rotated on the paddocks so he has grass and is fed haylage in the winter. A lovely, professional yard in a beautiful setting.

A beautiful, friendly yard where the ladies go over & beyond to care for your horse. My horse was in a state of weight loss when he arrived back in November after living out so he needed a lot attention. Lorna & Mia spent added time to help me with advice and I now have my boy back to a healthy horse. After a while of losing interest, Lorna supported me and I am now riding which I would have never thought I would do again. The yard is immaculate, great riding facilities and lots of hacking locally. Highly recommended professional yard

We moved my daughters horse to this yard in June and can honestly say it is the best yard we have been on in 40 years of horse ownership. The care is second to none, we never worry when we are not able to get down and the owners and staff could not be more professional and helpful. The peaceful atmosphere makes it a real pleasure spending time with our horses. In fact I love it so much I bought myself a new horse ( other horse retired 6 years ago) !

Lorna has retrained my naughtiest horse and reawakened my sleepiest with equal skill, patience and grace. Naughty horse got to three star BE, and sleepy horse, well, he is currently sleeping, but a chaps got to get his rest...! The care and kindness offered to my equine friends was unmatched. And quiet skill both riding and caring for. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my four hooved friends.
