Turners Hall Farm is a small, friendly, private yard with good facilities, surrounded by Hertfordshire countryside, superb for hacking, off road and quiet country lanes, straight from the yard. As we are small, we have not had to restrict livery access to the yard and have welcomed our liveries at any time to care for and exercise their horses during this year’s lockdowns. Naturally, we follow public health guidlines; social distancing is so much easier with fewer people! There is a cross-country course with jumps at varying heights and regular clinics within a short hacking distance. Yet we are close (but not too close!) to the major road networks (A1 and M1) and Harpenden rail station with its’ direct fast trains to Kings Cross/St Pancras within a short drive or cycle ride.
We live on site and the farm has been a great base for us to compete from, over the years. We have a well maintained manege, that rides well throughout the year and regular jumping clinics with a popular instructor. We offer a few 5 day part-livery spaces and assisted DIY spaces with help available at weekends if required. The boxes are large, well ventilated, cool in summer and warm in winter. Turnout is in post and rail fenced paddocks surrounded by trees and hedging. Individual turnout is available if required. We currently have 2 boxes available for either MONDAY-FRIDAY PART LIVERY OR ASSISTED DIY. In addition, the “ Hayloft” large comfortably furnished, triple aspect studio apartment in a 17th century building, with views of the fields, gardens and the yard, is CURRENTLY LET but when a vacancy occurs might suit someone who wants to tumble out of bed and see their horse every morning!
