Holymoor Riding School

We are an ABRS approved riding centre situated on the edge of the Peak District above Holymoorside near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

Our lessons and hacks can be tailored for any experience level from first time riders to the more advanced and we welcome anyone from the age of 4 to 100+.

Virginia (Ginny) is a fully qualified BHS riding instructor with over 30 years experience. She is also a Bachelor of Equine Science so we can also offer a range of horse and stable management courses.

We offer lessons 6 days a week (closed Mondays) between 09:00 – 18:00 from either 30 minutes or 1 hour.

Here at Holymoor we have a friendly and active pony club. Our aim is to give children confidence, knowledge and skills on horse care, stable management and riding with groups of like minded children.

We are blessed with being on the edge of the peak district moors and offer a varied range of hacks from 1 to 3 hours in length.

Come and ride with us across the picturesque Derbyshire moors or enjoy our longest hack on the most beautiful scenic bridleways to Linacre reservoir. We have a range of routes which suit all experience levels
