Kingfisher Livery

Kingfisher Livery is a quiet, professional livery yard with 12 stables offering part & full livery packages. Kingfisher has scenic views yet the benefit of being centrally located between Southampton & Portsmouth. Previously a private yard, breeding, producing & selling high performance dressage horses we are now looking forward to welcoming liveries onto our yard in this next chapter.

We have an excellent team of grooms who are experienced in handling young foals to competition stallions, and follow a well established daily routine to ensure your horse receives the very best care.

All our stables are well ventilated, spacious & light. They are all 12×12 with sealed rubber matting & automatic water drinkers. The yard drive, stables, bays & storage areas are well lit with newly fitted LED lights, making the prep & care of horses in winter months easy.

We have 3 newly installed prep bays, a solarium bay, a dry prep bay & wash down bay with hot water. All the bays are fitted with crossties, rubber matting & self drain.

Our large, secure main tack room includes a provided storage space for each horse, with further storage available in the separate heated rug rooms. The feed room is fitted with secure storage to keep feeds & supplements clean & hygienic, in the coming months an industrial washing machine will be fitted, perfect for washing saddle pads & boots. Our new hay barn stores our hay, haylage & shavings so everything stays dry & easily accessible. The kitchen & tearoom provides a relaxing space to sit after spending time with your horse.

The new 20x60m dressage arena surfaced with silica sand & fibre tech provides a lovely ride whatever your discipline. Our arena is well maintained with a twice weekly harrow & watering facilities in summer. Mirrors are due to be installed early 2023.

We believe horses should have turnout all year round hence the completion of our 3 new purpose built woodchip turnout pens. Perfect for allowing horses a leg stretch when the grass paddocks aren’t available. For spring, summer & autumn use, we have 8 acres of post & flex-fencing fields that are carefully managed & poo picked daily. We can offer tailored turnout of individual, pairs, mixed groups etc.

To be completed start of 2023; we will also have a 15m lunge pen surfaced with silica sand & fibre tech, as well as a 5 horse walker, all located close to the stables.

Hacking routes are available, including access onto the old railway line.

Owner lives on site & full set of CCTV throughout the yard. Trailer & box parking negotiable.
