Uist Community Riding School

The home of horse and pony riding in the Southern Isles – Uist, Benbecula and Barra

Uist Community Riding School is a ‘not for profit’ riding school and livery yard on the beautiful Isle of Benbecula.

We offer a range of ridden and practical activities throughout the year. Livery is also available. Our yard comprises 9 indoor stables, a floodlit indoor arena, an outdoor paddock with white boards for jumping and schooling, and a vast amount of land for turnout. Due to our location, the hacking routes are quite and safe, with minimal traffic. Our main attraction in the Spring and Summer are the amazing beaches – and who wouldn’t want a fantastic beach ride!

We offer riding for all ages:

• Minimum age 2 for pony rides
• Minimum age 5 for lessons
• Minimum age 7 for beach rides

For livery clients,  we offer full, assisted DIY, DIY, working, grass and holiday livery, with stabling and all-year turnout.
