Alex Holman Eventing

Alex Holman is one of GB’s most up and coming event riders, listed by Horse & Hound as an “Event Rider to Watch” after achieving multiple top results & qualifying for Badminton CCI5* in 2022. Based at Owl House, near Burford, Alex can now offer various bespoke full livery packages.

The yard is a modest set up, with only 10 stables, but this means that it is a very quiet & relaxed environment for the horses, and allows time for every horse to be cared for individually.

Your horse’s daily care will only be carried out to the highest standards, with an experienced team on site 24/7, as well as regular visits from top vets, farriers, physio etc.

We boast beautiful year-round turnout fields, plus a covered walker for the winter months, and we pride ourselves on keeping a yard full of very happy and healthy horses.

Alex has experience with all types of horses for schooling & training, but specialises in producing young event horses – Alex started his top horse, Carrick Diamond Bard, at BE100 level, and carefully took him all the way up to the top of the sport, where he is now proving to be a very competitive horse. Alex is now starting on ‘the next generation’, and has successfully sourced, backed and started several more young horses who are now ready for their own eventing careers.

Alongside offering full livery, Alex is a passionate coach and enjoys teaching private or group sessions, either at Owl House, or at other yards/venues. Alex has worked with riders and horses of all ages and experience levels, and always aims to build your confidence whilst achieving your goals, whether this is to achieve placings at international level, or to help you navigate a young horse around the arena for the first time!
