Isca Livery Stables Ltd has been established for over 20 years and is run by Mari-Sian Mayho ( reg BHSAI), her family and staff. Set in 45 acres of rolling Monmouthshire countryside, the yard has wooden, block and Monarch American barn stables and offers a whole range of livery packages from DIY through to full livery, holiday, retirement and rehab livery. Currently, there are horses ranging from 4 to 29 years old on the yard. Facilities include an indoor school with mirrors, outdoor arena (approx. 60m x 40m) with dressage boards and Jump 4 Joy showjumps, horsewalker, solarium, all year round group turnout, secure individual tack storage in alarmed tackrooms, CCTv throughout the yard, isolation stable, coffee room, rug drying area and bedding available on site. Hay/ haylage is included in the livery. The owners live on site. It is a (well behaved) child friendly yard yet also caters for a wide range of customers including retired people who just wish to hack and enjoy their horses to the more competitive riders in all disciplines. It is only a few miles from Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran, Pontypool and Usk so has good, easy links to major roads yet is in lovely quiet countryside. Isca Livery Stables is a BHS Highly Commended yard and has also been awarded an Outstanding Performance Certificate. Mari-Sian has been teaching for many years and has competed up to Foxhunter Level BS with her own home produced horse, William. She has also produced and sold a home bred horse to South Wales Police. All of her training and teaching methods are based upon a quiet, non- pressurising, consistent training routine for all of the horses resulting in them being confident, well balanced horses suitable for a variety of activities.
