Professional, friendly family run yard set in a secluded location at the edge of Salisbury Plain. Set in 60 acres of beautiful countryside with lovely views, Sands Farm has excellent facilities and is a peaceful place to be for horses.
Facilities include a well maintained 25×40 indoor arena with a flexi-ride surface, lights, viewing gallery and mirrors, a large 50×60 outdoor arena with a sand and rubber surface, a full course of new @jumpsonline show jumps, rustic fences, round pen, Monarch horse walker, light and airy indoor American barn stables. There is also a separate 4 pen stable block, with storage space attached. These are huge stables, perfect for mares&foals/rehab etc.. Other facilities include covered hot shower wash box and clipping area. Plenty of storage space, secure tack room, CCTV, parking for lorries and trailers. 24 hour care available with staff living on-site, lates done every night. Due to our quick draining soil, we are able to offer all year round turnout, and the fields are poo picked regularly by machine. We have also gained a ‘Certificate of Yard Excellence’ with the KBHH Yard Excellence Scheme, and have a close relationship with our vets who offer all horses at our yard a cost effective dedicated health programme.
The surrounding area provides fantastic hacking; not just for the miles of hacking around Salisbury Plain, but also some good tracks and lanes for shorter hacks, and options with no main roads. For those who wish to ride out in company or for liveries with younger horses, there is always someone to go out riding with. Regular lessons are available with experienced instructors, very experienced riders/trainers on-site, specialising in natural horsemanship with a high level showing/competition background.
Only half an hour from West Wilts, and close to local cross country courses – West Wilts/Downlands/Rabson Manor.
